Release Notes

After a release of the Public Website, information from the development ticket system is made available as a record of changes. The notes may be somewhat technical.

Changes/Fixes:

• Major internal reconstruction. Some links may not work as expected; these will be fixed over the next few days.
• Update of "Calendar" events; synchronised correctly with school calendar.
• "Latest News" RSS feed has now been removed due to a rename to "News". Please update your bookmarks.

Additions/Features:

• A-Level exam timetable added to Calendar.
• NewsFlash feature now available to quickly publish important information (such as school closure).

• "Latest News" has been renamed to "News". RSS feeds will continue to work for "Latest News" but will be removed for the next release. Please update your bookmarks.
• "Media and Downloads" has been renamed to "Media and Publications".
• Update of "Calendar" events; synchronised correctly with school calendar.

Additions/Features:

• Two new content areas added to Front Page: "Letters" and "Student Services".
• "Downloadables" feature added to "Letters" and "Media and Publications" areas, sortable by name and date.
• Website search facility using Google.

Changes/Fixes:

• "Calendar/Events" are now synchronised correctly with internal school calendar.
• News Feed RSS is now working correctly.
• Year 10 Course Choices link has been removed.
• "Eclipse" portal link authentication issue tested and resolved.
• An issue with the "accordion" paragraph feature was causing content to be cut off at the bottom. This happened the first time the page was displayed.
• Indicators information on the "Reports and Performance" page has been updated.
• Contact email addresses updated.
• List of Governors is now alphabetical within group.

Additions/Features:

• GCSE Exams Timetable now online (Release 1.2a)
• BBC "School Report" page added in preparation for March 26th's BBC event.
• Headteacher Notes for Spring 2009 added to "Media and Publications".
• High Performance Spring 2009 Newsletter added to "Media and Publications".
• Title of web browser now reflects the page name currently being viewed.
• Paragraph folding allows "drill-down" feature in Site Map.
• Graphical updates to home page.
