Key Events: 2020-2021

The current Covid-19 pandemic has caused many events in our normal school to be run in different ways or cancelled. Like everyone else, we look forward to the moment when we can move back more substantially towards normal.

Until then we are only able to publish the following list of key events.

Of course, even this list might need to be amended in the event of developments at national and local level.

We will, of course, keep our community informed of any such developments

Year 7

•         Year 7 assessments of the week of 22nd March

•         Year 7 Parents’ Evening on Thursday 6th May

Year 8

•         Year 8 assessments of the week of 8th March

Year 9

•         Key Stage 4 Course Choices process will begin remotely the week of 8th February

•         Year 9 Parents’ Evening online on Thursday 11th February from 4:30 – 7:30 pm

  • Key Stage 4 Course Choices form for Year 9 goes live – Thursday 25th February
  • Key Stage 4 Course Choices for Year 9 – deadline for initial choices – Friday 5th March

•         Year 9 assessments will be rearranged to take place when we return to face-to-face teaching, but in some subjects, remote assessments may be set during half-term 3.  Details will be shared by class teachers.

Year 10

•         Year 10 Parents’ Evening will be online on Thursday 11th March from 4.30-7.30pm

•         Year 10 assessments will be rearranged to take place when we return to face-to-face teaching, but in some subjects, remote assessments may be set during half term 3.  Details will be shared by class teachers.

Year 11

•         Key Stage 5 Course Choices process will begin online the week of 11th January).  Mr Williams (our Director of Sixth Form) will be sending out the Year 11 Course Choices Bulletin on Monday 11th January as part of this process.  This will introduce the process and provide links to the application form and subject information.

•         Year 11 Parents’ Evening will be online on Thursday 4th February from 4.30-7.30pm.  Bookings for this will open the week of 18th January.

Year 12

•         The UCAS deadline has been extended to Friday 29th January to give students and teachers more time to complete the process.  If Mrs Cook has not yet sent off your son or daughter’s UCAS application, please could you ensure that they make this a priority at this late stage of the process.  Please feel free to email Mrs Cook if you have any queries about this at HCook@wilmslowhigh.com.  Please could you also ensure that the UCAS payment has been made through Parent Pay.
