Covid-19 related student absence – “What to do if…” Guide

Below is the quick reference guide that we are using when contacted about possible Covid-19 related student absence:

Thank you for your continuing support in ensuring that we have all the information we need to keep our school community safe.

It is of the utmost importance that we continue to ensure that if they, or anyone in their household, have one or more of the following symptoms;

  • a high temperature
  • a new, continuous cough
  • a loss or change to their sense of smell or taste

that the whole household isolate until a COVID-19 test can be arranged for the person with symptoms and that isolation continue until the test result has been received.

Please note the following change to our notification process;

  1. If your child tests positive for COVID-19 please email covidstudents@wilmslowhigh.com and include;
  • Your child’s name
  • Date symptoms started (or date of test if asymptomatic)
  • Date of test
  • Date result received
  1. For any other COVID-19 related absence, such as if your child;
  • Has symptoms of COVID-19
  • Lives with someone with symptoms
  • Lives with someone who has tested positive
  • Has been contacted by NHS Test and Trace
