How has access to school changed as a result of the building programme?

Over the summer the new building project has moved onto its next stage and we recommend that all students watch the following 9 minute video in order to understand the key changes to movement onto and around the school site: Click here.

We are delighted that the new Northern Access off the Broadway Meadow car park has now been completed. In addition to providing students with a much quicker route by foot into school this will also provide an alternative location for car-based drop-off and collection at the end of the day which should help reduce congestion at the other school entrance routes. However, please note that to ensure site safety this gate is only open from 8.15am until 8.45am and 3.05pm until 3.25pm. Outside these times students should come to the main school reception via Holly Road.

To support student safety during the building programme, we will also be limiting road access to the school site between 8.30am and 8.45am, and at the end of the school day. During these times we will not be allowing vehicles to enter the school site from Holly Road / Broadway.

Please also note that the location of the building works means that we have had to create new arrangements for Visitor Car Parking. This area is accessible through the Holly Road entrance but parents and carers need to be aware that spaces are very limited.
