Impressive A-Level results deserve celebration

The impressive A-Level and BTEC results of summer 2021 have been achieved in remarkable circumstances.

Students and staff have had to overcome unprecedented disruption to planned learning journeys and have demonstrated agility, enterprise and perseverance to overcome the challenges presented by Covid-19.

The A-Level grades awarded to Wilmslow High School students were well above the national average.

  • The proportion of A* grades was 22% compared with the national figure of 19%, while the results at grade A and above were at 55% compared with the national figure of 44%.
  • This pattern can also be seen at grade B and higher where the figure for Wilmslow High School is 81% compared with the national figure of 70%.

In the long run we are very confident that the Class of 2021 will be the stronger for having lived through these incredible times.
