Morning Tours for Year 6 Parents / Carers

Child in Year 6 and thinking of applying for a Year 7 place at Wilmslow High School?

Over a number of years, our Open Evenings have attracted many visitors who have told us how much they enjoyed the event. We have also been told that families with children in Year 6 would find a visit during the working day even more useful, as they make the decision on a school place for their child.So this year, with our exciting £13 million building programme putting constraints on the space we currently have to accommodate large numbers of visitors, we will follow this feedback and offer a number of short morning tours of the school, for parents and carers of children in Year 6, who are still unsure about the secondary school choice for their son / daughter.If your child is currently in Year 5 or Year 6 and has an Educational Health Care Plan, we will be offering a number of morning tours in addition to the Year 6 focused ones. Please contact Cath Morris on cmorris@wilmslowhigh.com or 01625 444187 for a Year 5 or Year 6 student with EHCP focused specific tour.Because we will have limited availability for tour places, we are asking that applications for a tour are only made by parents / carers who feel that they need to visit the school in order to make a decision. If you know that WHS will be your child’s first choice next year, we would be grateful if you did not apply for a tour during October. We will provide other opportunities for you to engage with the school in operation later during the year.Tour details:

Year 6 (non-EHCP) tours will take place on Tuesdays, Wednesdays Thursdays and Fridays for Year 6 parents and carers for the weeks beginning 3rd, 10th and 17th October
Arrival from 8.45am via the new northern access gate (parking in Broadway Meadows Carpark – this is a pay carpark)
Tour of the site with sixth form students will begin at 9.10am and finish at approx. 9.45am
9.45am – 10am an opportunity to ask senior staff any questions that haven’t been answered during the tour.
