Wilmslow High School / Sport

Sport Information

Be ready. Show PRIDE. Support well.

Essential information for students representing the school and visitors attending school sport.

01 / Student expectations

Represent the school with PRIDE.

Representing Wilmslow High School is a privilege. On and off the field, students are ambassadors for our school.

Be ready

  • Arrive on time with the correct kit and equipment.
  • Listen carefully to instructions and give your best effort.

Show respect

  • Respect teammates, opponents, officials and staff.
  • Show excellent sportsmanship, whatever the result.
  • Support teammates and encourage others to take part.

Take responsibility

  • Take pride in representing the school on and off the field.
  • Behave responsibly when travelling to and from fixtures.

02 / Parents and visitors

Support from the sidelines.

Please sign in at main reception.

Spectators must be escorted to the venue. A designated member of the PE Team will oversee visitors on site for the fixture.

On arrival

  • Sign in at main reception.
  • Keep your visitor identification sticker visible.
  • Follow the staff escort arrangements for your venue.

During the fixture

  • Stay on the sideline of the game you are watching.
  • Keep behaviour appropriate and respectful at all times.
  • Do not use mobile phones for photography or recording.

Building and toilet access: Spectators must not enter or access the school building and must not use school toilets.

Which venues does this cover?
  • South field (front).
  • Back field (north).
  • Astro turf, OH, SH and Performance dome.

Please follow the arrangements given by staff for the venue you are visiting.

03 / Taking part

Good to know.

How do I find the right session?

Use the Sport Xtra timetable for activities by day and year group. PE staff share arrangements and updates through school notices, emails, newsletters, student briefings and lessons.

What if my child has SEND or medical needs?

Speak to PE staff about individual needs. Staff consider appropriate adjustments and discussions with students and parents to support safe, positive participation.

What happens if a session is full?

Capacity may depend on staffing, facilities and safety. Fair arrangements may include sign-up windows, rotating places, additional sessions where possible or prioritising consistent attendance.

Where can I ask about selection or feedback?

Students can speak to PE staff for constructive feedback. Performance Squad selection is reviewed during the year and does not guarantee a place in every matchday squad.

For questions about participation, selection or individual needs, please speak to PE staff.
