The Year 11 football team secured a hard-fought 1-0 victory to advance to the next round of the Cheshire Cup.
They faced a well-organised Rudheath High School side led by Mr Naylor.
The match remained goalless until the final minutes of normal time when Charlie Dale scored the decisive goal from a well-placed corner delivered by Buddy Taylor Dawson.
The presence and support of many PE staff members throughout the game provided a noticeable boost to the players’ performance.
