U18 Rugby Team Show Resilience Against Manchester Grammar

Wilmslow High School’s U18 rugby team showed determination and resilience in a demanding Continental Tyres Cup fixture against Manchester Grammar School.

With several players unavailable because of other commitments, the squad travelled with just one substitute. An injury to the captain in the opening five minutes then left the team without any further changes for the remainder of the match.

Nine Year 11 pupils stepped up to support the seniors, helping the team produce an excellent opening 50 minutes before fatigue began to take its toll.

Although the result did not go Wilmslow’s way, the performance highlighted both the players’ commitment and the promising talent coming through the junior section.

Charlie Titley was named Player of the Match after playing the full game in the forwards and delivering an outstanding tackling performance.
