Cheshire Cup, Round 1: Marple Hall 0–1 Wilmslow
Our Year 10 boys’ football team continued their excellent cup form with a hard-fought victory against a talented and physical Marple Hall side.
In a game of few chances, the midfield trio of Jacob Lennon, Rory Walsh and Oliver Whalen worked tirelessly to protect a defence marshalled by Archie Long.
The decisive moment came when Brooklyn-Charles Marriott reacted quickest to convert a difficult half-chance, scoring the goal that secured Wilmslow’s victory.
Player of the Match: Archie Long.
