A-Level Results Press Release
At Wilmslow High School we are celebrating another excellent set of exam results from the class of 2025. Half of the grades awarded are at the very highest level of A* – B – testament to the hard work and dedication of our students and staff.
Wilmslow students from the class of 2025 are now looking forward to embarking on the next stage of their education at a number of destinations:
- As usual, Wilmslow students will be starting undergraduate studies at a range of universities including Oxford and Cambridge and other Russell Group universities around the country, from Dundee to Exeter, London, Cardiff and Edinburgh
- Business, Accounting, Finance and Economics are the most popular choices with our students this year, in line with national trends
- We also have a large number of historians, English and Politics students
- Science courses are well represented, with students embarking on studies including Biomedical Science, Biochemistry and Animal Science to name a few
- As usual our students have been successful in gaining places on courses in Design, Fashion, Music, Computer Science, Sociology and Engineering
- Several Wilmslow students will be beginning their studies at American universities in the autumn and some of these have sports scholarships
- We also have students who will be entering the working world in fields including hospitality and sport
- An increasing number of our students have secured competitive Degree level apprenticeships, including those in Business Management, Business Administration and Customer Service
Headteacher, Christina Kane said “We are incredibly proud of the fantastic results our Year 13 students have achieved. They have worked extremely hard, and their dedication has been rewarded. I would also like to thank parents, carers and staff who have supported our students every step of the way. I am confident that this talented cohort have a bright future ahead of them and I wish them every success. A huge well done to the class of 2025.”
